UNION – Speed was a factor in a crash that sent an 18-year-old Algonquin man and a boy to area hospitals Saturday morning in Union, a spokesperson for the McHenry County Sheriff's Office said. The boy, who was a passenger, was able to get out of the car himself after it slid sideways, rolled through a resident's front yard and crashed into several trees about 12:30 a.m.
