Sports Federations Join Betting Monitoring Program

LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — Summer sports federations are signing up to the IOC's system for monitoring betting ahead of the 2016 Olympics. The International Olympic Committee says 10 of the 28 sports on the program for the Rio Games have already joined the Integrity Betting Intelligence System. The IOC says swimming, boxing and badminton were the latest to sign up. The program was discussed at a "sports integrity workshop" in Lausanne on Wednesday. The IBIS monitoring system was first in operation at February's Winter Games in Sochi.Read more on NewsOK.com
