On July 3, 1966, the Rev. Bernard Brady celebrated the birth of St. Gabriel Parish in Concord Township with Mass in a chapel holding a small altar and folding chairs. At the time, 200 families were listed in the parish registry. Fifty years later, nearly 4,100 families fill the parish roster and Masses are celebrated in a graceful, spacious church.
