Blizzard has finally launched Premium Arcade, a community-driven map store, for StarCraft 2, nine years after announcing its initial plans for the feature. The company originally announced its intention to create a marketplace for community created content at BlizzCon back in 2009. "Not only will the map editors of future games like StarCraft II be more powerful than Warcraft III, but players will be able to publish maps much easier through the redesigned service," we wrote at the time. "Eventually, after the launch of StarCraft II and the redesigned Battle.net service, Blizzard plans on further expanding the features for users.
