State Tuition Increases Tough On Students

He already works 23 hours a week as a gas station clerk while juggling a full load of courses at Georgia Regents University. A scholarship covers most of Lamar Clark’s education, but whatever is left each semester has to come out of his pocket. With a 5.5 percent tuition increase for GRU students next year, and between a 2.5 percent and 9 percent increase at other University System of Georgia schools, many are searching for ways to pay the difference and adjust to the ever growing costs of higher education. read more
