Despite an increased amount of rain moving through the Colorado Springs area, there are no reports of damage or flooding over the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest burn scars Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo. A flash flood watch for El Paso and Teller counties was canceled because there wasn't enough fast, heavy rain to cause flash floods, the weather service reported. Flood mitigation efforts have proved successful, said Bob Wilson, a spokesman for the Colorado Department of Transportation. CDOT is patrolling for flooding, but a "super culvert" through Waldo Canyon is "working the way it should be working," Wilson said. Some people have reported small rock slides, but CDOT crews have found
