Sterling Heights, Wayne State Partner In Ptsd Initiative

The city of Sterling Heights is partnering with the Wayne State University Physician Group to design and implement a comprehensive treatment model for police officers, firefighters and military veterans who experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder."When people think of PTSD, they normally think of soldiers on a battlefield," said Sterling Heights Mayor Pro Tem Doug Skrzyniarz, who also serves as the associate vice president of government affairs for the Wayne State University School of Medicine and the WSU Physician Group.
