DETROIT (AP) — A storm that's expected to bring up to 14 inches of snow is pushing across Michigan's Lower Peninsula, making roads hazardous, stranding air travelers and shutting down schools. Expressways in metropolitan Detroit were slippery Sunday, with numerous spinout crashes and traffic moving slowly along the rutted lanes. The storm is stranding thousands of air travelers, with at least 177 departing flights cancelled and many more delayed at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The National Weather Service says that 7 inches of snow was already on the ground Sunday afternoon in the Detroit suburb of Wyandotte and 6 inches in Ann Arbor.Read more on NewsOK.com
