On Sunday, FX screened the third episode of its new horror series The Strain to a packed audience in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. (Keep a worm-filled eye out for IGN's review of "Gone Smooth" coming soon!) Along with the screening was a Q&A with executive producers Guillermo del Toro, Carlton Cuse and Chuck Hogan, as well as the cast. During the panel, Del Toro explained how he studied all kinds of vampire lore from all over the world when writing his original Strain novels, going far beyond the Americanized versions we're used to seeing. "I've been working on this type of vampire since I was a kid," he said.
