From Staff ReportsA severe thunderstorm watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for much of north central Oklahoma on Wednesday afternoon. Alfalfa, Blaine, Garfield, Grant, Kay, Kingfisher, Major and Noble counties are under the watch, which is set to expire at 11 p.m. Threats associated with the storms include half-inch sized hail and wind gusts of more than 50 mph. The weather service is forecasting about a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms for the Oklahoma City metro on Wednesday night. Read more on NewsOK.com
