Summit County Public Health is holding a series of events throughout April to highlight lingering health disparities between races.The events — part of National Minority Health Month — kick off this week with free screenings and information from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Ohio Means Jobs Center, 1040 Tallmadge Ave., Akron.“It’s increasing awareness and bringing to light there are disparities,” Assistant Summit County Health Commissioner Donna Skoda said.
