A Summit County jury began deliberating Monday afternoon in the capital murder case against Shawn Eric Ford Jr.No verdict was reached.Prosecutors and the defense wrapped up their closing arguments just before 1 p.m., with defense attorneys saying that Ford was involved with the deaths of Jeff and Margaret “Peg” Schobert.The New Franklin couple were bludgeoned to death in their Portage Lakes home in April 2013.Ford, now 19, who admitted to the killings in a police statement, is charged with multiple counts of aggravated murder and death penalty specifications.He also is charged with stabbing the Schoberts’ adoptive daughter Chelsea, his girlfriend at the time.
