Summit Metro Parks will hold an open house Aug. 17 for the public and park partners to meet the six finalists seeking to be become the district’s new executive director.The event will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Seiberling Nature Realm, 1828 Smith Road, Akron.The finalists are:• Nathan Eppink, chief of marketing, Summit Metro Parks.• Michael Johnson, interim director, Summit Metro Parks.• Lisa King, chief of planning and development, Summit Metro Parks.• Robert Peters, chief of operations, Summit Metro Parks.• Harry Stark, assistant director of public service, city of Wadsworth.A sixth applicant has asked the park not to reveal his/her name until after Aug.
