NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Sun Belt commissioner Karl Benson says the 11-team league is prepared for the anticipated rising cost of remaining part of major college football. Benson says he also has faith that leaders of the wealthiest conferences — known as the "power five" — recognize they still need the other five NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision conferences for scheduling purposes, and won't unduly diminish their ability to compete.
