Michael Potts, who has worked in Gobles since 1966 and was the middle school basketball coach during the 2013-2014 school year, filed the lawsuit last week in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids. It names as defendants the school district, Superintendent Jeff Rehlander and Board of Education members Brian Beam, Terry Doyle, Bonnie Miller, Mitch Smith and Daniel Wahmhoff.
