According to Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley, deputies were called about 10:21 a.m. Wednesday to R & L Excavating on Crescent Hill Road in Sweet Home when alerted to the incident by emergency dispatchers. When they arrived, they learned that Raymond Launder had been trimming trees with a friend, Richard Paulino, also 59.
