Tax-cut and stimulus package expected to pass Thursday in House

Liberals in the House have forced a vote on a different version of the estate tax provision. They also protest the terms of debate on the tax-cut bill, demanding a separate vote so they can voice opposition. But the vote schedule is expected to stay on track.The House on Thursday is expected to pass a tax and stimulus package negotiated by President Obama and Republicans after a series of political maneuvers over the thorny issues of the estate tax.
