Daily Journal TUPELO – Back-to-school shoppers can claim one more holiday before classes start. Today through midnight Saturday, the state of Mississippi has granted its seventh sales tax holiday. The sales tax exemption will give shoppers a break on clothing and shoes that are priced less than $100 each. School supplies and computers aren’t included in the annual sales holiday. Shoppers can spend as much as they would like, but individual items can’t cost more than $100. Stores can offer discounts to make items that are normally $100 qualify for the sales tax holiday.
