If you want to see the Pacific Rim's giant aliens and robots battle it out in 3D, there's good news. According to Variety, Warner Bros has decide to convert Guillermo del Toro's alien invasion movie to 3D. However, it may be done against del Toro's wishes.

Guillermo Del Toro is going really big with his next film. The creator of "Pan's Labyrinth" and the "Hellboy" movies came to Comic-Con on Saturday to offer fans a taste of his sci-fi showdown "Pacific Rim."

Guillermo Del Toro was developing a movie based on H.P. Lovecraft's short story At the Mountains of Madness at Universal, but the studio was reluctant to give the greenlight to a $150 million R-rated horror movie.

Senh: I think it has more to do with an R-rated horror film that cost $150M than Ridley Scott's "Prometheus." Although Guillermo Del Toro's track record at the box office is solid, he hasn't had a single film gross anywhere near $100M.
