Romney, however, could not seem to come up with basic messages that resolved the controversies. Many of his answers seemed evasive or overly legalistic. The biggest problem for Romney is that all of his interviews have only increased the questions that political observers, voters and the media have regarding the subject of Bain Capital.

The new ad once again uses Hillary Rodham Clinton to make the Romney campaign's point about Obama, showing an image of her from the 2008 Democratic primary saying "shame on you" to her then-rival for distorting her record.

President Obama ripped Mitt Romney today over a report that the Republican's private equity firm invested in companies that moved jobs out of the United States to low-wage countries. "We do not need an outsourcing pioneer in the Oval Office," Obama said during a fundraising speech in Tampa, Fla. "We need a president who will fight for American jobs."
