Facebook's 500 million-plus users will soon be able to track friends' whereabouts across the United States, as the world's largest Internet social network adds technology to increasingly tie its virtual world to everyday life.

Senh: These geolocation check-in sites/apps have been growing in popularity. I've seen a couple on my Twitter account. Still, I'm hesitant about using it. It's starting to get creepy. It's also beginning to be like The Matrix where everyone starts interacting in the virtual world instead of the REAL world with these virtual places.
