A former commodities trader pleaded guilty Monday to making death threats against federal regulators, including the heads of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Vincent P. McCrudden, 50, who had been the subject of various disciplinary actions, posted threats to kill more than 40 government and regulatory officials and offered a $100,000 reward for proof that they were punished, the Justice Department said.
