Traffic Stop Yields Meth Arrests

A seatbelt violation led to the arrest of two Richmond County men who had been shopping for items to cook methamphetamine. On Monday, Deputy Brian Mealing conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Explorer on Windsor Spring Road after noticing the passenger, 40-year-old Steward Lee Price, was not wearing a seatbelt. The traffic stop progressed when Price stepped from the vehicle, at the officer’s request, causing a glass pipe to fall from his lap and break on the ground. read more
