Trail Ridge Road will not open Friday after all, but officials will re-evaluate when they might be able to open each day this weekend. On Friday morning “park rangers experienced 20 to 30 mph winds with white out conditions and a high temperature of 24 degrees above 11,000 feet,” according to a news release from Rocky Mountain National Park. “Road conditions are treacherous with extreme ice,” the release stated.
