Longtime viewers of the Travel Channel are sure to know Samantha Brown, who has hosted a variety of shows including “Great Hotels,” “Girls Meets Hawaii,” “Passport to Europe,” “Great Weekends” and “Samantha Brown’s Asia” since the early 2000s. In addition to her hosting career — Travel Channel last week announced that her new show, “50/50,” has been greenlit for eight episodes — the Brooklyn-based Brown also has a line of luggage on the Home Shopping Network and serves as AARP’s travel ambassador, even though she is just 45 and mom to 2-year-old twins Ellis and Elizabeth.
