Tribe's Taylor Stumps 'blazers

GRAY — Dobyns-Bennett pitcher Matt Taylor was in command from the first pitch Tuesday evening against Daniel Boone. The 6-foot-5 junior right-hander was dominant in a four-hit shutout of the Trailblazers at Clarence Mabe Field. Taylor struck out 10, walked one and saw only two baserunners reach second in the 8-0 Big 7 Conference victory. “I came in with a goal and I accomplished it,” said Taylor, who lowered his ERA to a team-best 1.63.
