In quarterfinal action of the Class 3A state tournament Thursday night, Mooreville’s offensive pressure did not create a gem, but there were enough shiny moments to claim a 12-2 Game 1 victory over the Nettleton Tigers in six innings. “If we can find ways to get guys on base, and with our run game, we can win games,” Mooreville coach Derek Thompson said.
