True Blood S05E06: "Hopeless"The weirdest contradiction that True Blood's always embodied is that it's TOO MUCH show yet at the same time it's never enough. For a series that employs upwards of eight separate plotlines in any given episode, too often it feels like nothing is actually happening. Or, more likely, certain plotlines tread water for several episodes at a time while others race forward into narrative overdrive.
