'true Fan' Of 80+ Years Just Misses Cubs' Playoff Season

The late George Spannenberg of Arlington Heights loved the Chicago Cubs so much he spent more than half a month's rent for 1945 World Series tickets and built many memories taking his kids and grandchildren to games. Spannenberg died in 2014 but would have loved seeing the Cubs get another shot at the championship, his family says.
