The global fertility rate has fallen from 5 births per woman in 1950 to 2.3 in 2021 - and even lower in the U. S., partly due to the cost of child-rearing and shifts in priorities. But Defense Attorney William J. Brennan counters, "You have two lawyers on that jury. They're not going to just do a knee-jerk.

The American flag has become so much more associated with one party and candidate that many refrain from flying it, even on patriotic holidays. And that, says CNN's Michael Smerconish, is a shame.

Why is the Libertarian party ceding the spotlight to the leading GOP and Independent candidates, instead of elevating candidates of its own? "It would be amazing if they sign on to somebody like Donald Trump or RFK Jr. whorefuse to call themselves Libertarian," says Reason Editor at Large Nick Gillespie.
