Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein says she was charged with assaulting a police officer after she attended a pro-Palestinian protest on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday.
“It was kind of scary to tell you the truth,” Stein, 73, said in an interview with local news station KSDK following her release from several hours of detention after she and 99 others were arrested.
WASHINGTON — U. S. intelligence officials have determined that Russian President Vladimir Putin likely didn’t order the death of imprisoned opposition leader Alexei Navalny in February, according to an official familiar with the determination.
While U. S. officials believe Putin was ultimately responsible for the death of Navalny, who endured brutal conditions during his confinement, the intelligence community has found “no smoking gun” that Putin was aware of the timing of Navalny’s death—which came soon before the Russian president’s reelection—or directly ordered it, according to the official.

“It’s always great to see someone thrive when you know what he’s been through,” the former Pittsburgh Penguins great texted me Sunday after Nichushkin’s first career NHL hat trick helped the Avs stomp Winnipeg 5-1.
Trump lickspittle Sen. Lindsey Graham blew off any concerns that The National Enquirer's David Pecker paid for catch-and-kill stories in order to help Trump's presidential campaign. I still want to know what Trump has got on Graham since he did his 180 back when Trump was running the first time.
Here's Graham's lame response when CNN's Dana Bash asked him about Pecker's testimony this week:
GRAHAM: Apparently, a lot of people do this, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tiger Woods.
Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley refused to pull over for speeding and went home and called the police chief to quash the incident instead. That's a no-no.
Unfortunately for her (or fortunately for the rule of law), the entire incident was recorded on the officer's bodycam and now DA Doorley has to explain why she has such reckless disregard for the law, police officers, and common sense.
And although a Republican now (of course), Doorley has been a Democrat in the past.
