MOUNT DESERT ISLAND — The Coast Guard says two kayakers are dead and a third is being treated for hypothermia after a kayaking incident off Mount Desert Island. The Coast Guard received a report from a woman at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday saying her husband and two others went kayaking and did not return at their planned time of 4:30 p.m. One of the searchers found a kayaker clinging to an overturned kayak around 8 p.m.
