Two West Valley Fires Kill Three Horses, Destroy Three Cars

Two unrelated fires kept West Valley City firefighters busy in the pre-dawn hours of Sunday. One of them, a barn fire, killed three horses. A neighbor called dispatchers about the fire about 2:30 a.m. on the 2400 South block of Winton Street, according to a West Valley City Fire Department news release. Firefighters arrived to see that the barn had “already burned nearly to the ground,” officials said.
