Uber Acquires Mapping Startup Decarta

While Uber is great at raising money and angering the taxi industry and local governments, it’s not really known for acquisitions. Today that changed. Mashable reports that Uber has acquired mapping startup deCarta for an undisclosed amount of money. The mapping platform features local search, location based features, geocoding and routing.
