Dashawn King added 15 points, going 6 for 6 from the field and 3 for 3 from the free-throw line for Missouri-Kansas City (3-2). Harrison's layup with 7:21 remaining put the Kangaroos up 60-49, but the Blue Tigers scrambled back with a 17-7 run to cut the lead to 67-66 on Anthony Virdue's jumper with 1:42 to play. LaVell Boyd hit a 3 for UMKC with 1:18 left to push the Kangaroos' lead to 70-66.
