High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, has suggested that the Israeli military might have committed war crimes by shelling and launching airstrikes on civilian neighborhoods in Gaza. Her comments come as reports of civilian casualties soar. As of Wednesday night, 697 Palestinians had been killed, of which 518 were civilians, including 170 children and 86 women, according to the U.N.
