The 10th-ranked North Carolina State women’s basketball team brought an abrupt end to the University of Maine’s five-game winning streak on Saturday night. The Wolfpack opened the game on a 13-2 run and cruised to a 84-46 victory on Kay Yow Court inside James T. Valvano Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. North Carolina State (11-0), which is 8-0 at home, is off to the second best start in program history. The Wolfpack paced five players in double figures led by Kayla Jones’ 14 points.
