BIG STONE GAP — Union’s front line provided the punch it needed to claim a share of the Mountain 7 District volleyball championship Thursday. The Lady Bears racked up 54 kills in a 3-0 sweep of the John Battle Lady Trojans. With the win, Union (18-4, 11-1) earned the regular-season district co-championship. Abingdon (19-7, 11-1) took a 3-0 win over Wise Central Tuesday to earn a Mountain 7 regular-season co-championship. Union and Abingdon will meet Saturday at Ridgeview at noon in a playoff match to determine the district’s No.
