United Pilots Arrested For Allegedly Being Drunk Before Takeoff

Two United Airlines pilots are scheduled to appear in a court in Glasgow, Scotland Monday on charges that they were intoxicated shortly before they were scheduled to fly more than 140 passengers to the United States. CBS New York reported that the flight to Newark, New Jersey was delayed for 10 hours while a new crew was brought in to make the flight. A spokesman for the airline said the pilots have been relieved of their flying duties and that Chicago-based United is cooperating with authorities…
