The United Way of Central Ohio has set a goal of $53.2 million for this year’s campaign. The fundraising effort will continue the focus on raising awareness of poverty. Campaign co-chairman Nick Akins wants to tie in with other community efforts such as those focused on helping low-income children get a good educational foundation.
