The University of Maryland has named a new dean for its business school. Prabhudev Konana, an associate dean at the University of Texas at Austin, will take the helm of the Robert H. Smith School of Business in College Park. He will start in the new post Jan. 2. Konana said he was “thrilled” to take the role, which is currently filled by interim dean Ritu Agarwal, who is also the founding director of the school’s Center for Health Information and Decision Systems.
