UPPER DARBY >> The famous Upper Darby Performing Arts Center, which opened in mid-1970s, will be getting a new state-of-the-art sound system costing an estimated $325,000.The Upper Darby School Board gave its nod of approval to replace the 1990 sound equipment with a 21st-century system to accommodate professional and amateur performances at the venue at a recent meeting.
