U.s. Jet Crashes In Libya, Pilots Safe; Gates Says Air Strikes Should Slow Soon

Both members of a U.S. fighter jet crew were rescued in Libya after their F-15E Strike Eagle malfunctioned and crashed, the U.S. military said Tuesday. Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said “significant military fighting” in Libya “should recede in the next few days.”
