U.s. Probe Sought Of Fatal Police Shooting In W.va. Of Va. Man

The Associated Press MARTINGSBURG, W.Va. - Civil rights leaders are pressing for a Justice Department investigation into the fatal shooting of a Virginia man by police in West Virginia.The call for a broader investigation followed a second meeting recently between Berkeley County NAACP officials, U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II and family members regarding the shooting of Wayne Arnold Jones in Martinsburg.The Journal reports that while NAACP officials said the meeting didn't satisfy them, Ihlenfeld has declined to discuss the closed sessions.Jones was shot 22 times by Martinsburg police officers after he allegedly stabbed an officer with a knife during a scuffle in March 2013.
