Ryan Miller stopped 33 shots to end a five-game losing streak and extend his dominance over Arizona, lifting the visiting Vancouver Canucks to a 2-1 victory over the Coyotes on Wednesday night. Miller made some big saves in the third period and got some help from defenseman Alex Biega, who saved a goal after a shot by Kyle Chipchura trickled past his sprawled-out goalie. Martin Hanzal scored a power-play goal and Louis Domingue stopped 24 shots for the Coyotes. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 34 shots for his third shutout of the season and 58th of his career, leading New York over host Pittsburgh. Lundqvist, who recorded his 27th win of the season, passed Martin Brodeur for most wins by a goaltender in his first 11 NHL seasons. Red Wings 3, Senators 1: Petr Mrazek stopped 22 shots and his bid for a second straight shutout ended with 2:24 left when Zach Smith scored. San Jose Barracuda coach Roy Sommer set the American Hockey League record with his 637th victory as the Sharks’ top affiliate defeated the Ontario Reign 4-2 Wednesday night at the SAP Center.
