Vancouver’s engineering services counter at the city’s permit center will reopen on Wednesdays starting Oct. 3. The counter had been closed on Wednesdays since June 29. The temporary closure affected residential and commercial developers wishing to buy a water meter, get a right-of-way permit or discuss their project with an engineering technician, according to a city news release. The city’s permit center is on the first floor of Vancouver City Hall, 415 W.
