Colorado Springs police arrested a wanted man after a verbal standoff late Thursday morning at the Drury Inn on Interquest Parkway. The suspect was taken into custody, peacefully, at about 11:30 a.m. According to Gazette news partner KKTV, when police arrived at the hotel about 11 a.m., the man, who is wanted on charges in Denver, refused to leave his room and then barricaded himself inside. After speaking with police by phone for about a half hour, the man surrendered and was taken into custody.
