Brandy McDonnell Broken Arrow native Kristin Chenoweth and "Glee" star Matthew Morrison will host the Thanksgiving television special "Broadway at the White House," airing at 7 tonight on TLC TLC partnered with Broadway greats and first lady Michelle Obama to give talented high school students a memorable holiday: The special, taped last week, follows high-school students who have been chosen for an all-day symposium at the White House that will cover careers in theater. As previously reported, the 40 students from both public arts high schools and after-school arts programs attended master classes in acting, directing, hair/make-up/costume design, music composition and musical theater. The event also included a Q&A panel with Broadway stars and, in the evening, performances featuring material from the musicals “Finding Neverland,” “Fun Home,” “An American in Paris,” “On Your Feet!,” “School of Rock” and “Something Rotten.” Celebrity guests included Whoopi Goldberg, Gloria Estefan, Christian Borle, Cicely Tyson and other current Broadway performers.
