Stories Related to Village To Vote On Garbage Collection Contract, Residents Could See Lower Rates

Cary residents could potentially see lower rates for its waste pickup services if the Village Board approves a contract with Flood Brothers Disposal Company. The current waste collection contract between the village and Advanced Disposal expires on Nov. 30. The transition to a new provider would occur on Dec. 1, village administrator Jacob Rife said. Cary staff received and reviewed proposals from five companies, according to an agenda packet. The contract with Flood Brothers would be for four years, through Nov.
