Watch an intense play take shape in festival reading The main event of the 38th Bay Area Playwrights Festival (besides the panels and workshops) is, as always, the second round of staged readings of the seven new plays — after the writer, director and other principals have had a chance to see how it went at its first reading and had a week to work on the script.
